Good talk, but I don't understand his [either the speaker or the person who made the video's] comments about Occam's Razor. What's being discussed could be called a corollary to the Razor - that an explanation that's hard to vary is inherently simpler and thus preferred.
Additionally, his debunking of empiricism is flawed. The fact that we can't actually see space time doesn't mean that we can't arrive at conclusions about its nature through observation.

You're right, it might better be called a corollary -- Occam's razor though is a weaker rule of thumb, not always true, but this concept of invariability I think might necessarily always be true.
